On the 22nd of July, 2017, we lost Ellie. She was our miracle piggy, our three-legged superstar, brave and unwavering no matter what life threw at her. Ellie formed the foundation of our rescue, and is pictured in our logo to this day. Her passing was not expected, and it left us shattered, empty and numb. Our call to Beric from Pets R.I.P was a difficult one. It took strength to come to terms with the reality that she was gone, but choosing her cremation details made it seem so final. Beric was gentle and understanding. He let us cry, he consoled us in our grief, and he gave us a treasured memory of Ellie that we will have for a lifetime.

People like Beric and Sue, who love all animals so unconditionally, who give their warmth so willingly to grieving families, who appreciate the enormity of the bond that pets and their owners share, are one in a million.
